Joe Biden’s administration has been facing problems for quite some time now.
During the onset of Biden’s presidency, his aides worked hard to keep the press from asking him too many questions. The president was finally given flashcards as a last result when public pressure became too great for him to keep dodging the media.
Since January 2021, there have been considerable reports of tension within the White House. Not all aides are in agreement about the messages Biden should be projecting, along with how he should go about other critical decisions.
Now, Breitbart News reports that some of the president’s most relied-upon advisers are seeing their way out of the administration.
More Aides Jump Ship
Some of the aides set to make their exit include the following:
- Brian Deese, the director of National Economic Council (NEC)
- Wally Adeyemo, the Deputy Treasury Secretary
- Gene Sperling, a senior economic adviser
- Cecilia Rouse, the chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers
Even Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is expected to leave the administration, albeit later down the line, once the 2024 presidential race gets closer.

These outgoing aides follow other departures from the Biden White House not too long ago, such as former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
Though the irony of so many economic aides jumping ship at this time cannot be missed. The economy has led to repeated criticism against Biden, amid rising inflation, growing interest rates, and plunging consumer confidence levels.
Tougher Times Coming
Departing economic advisers are not the only loss the Biden administration has to contend with. On top of that, the president will no longer benefit from having a House and Senate under the control of his party.
While Democrats kept the Senate, Republicans took the House of Representatives. Therefore, the White House will actually have to work with GOP lawmakers if it wants a chance of getting anything passed through both congressional chambers.
Whether or not Biden is able to handle this remains to be seen. However, he did call Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the likely next House Speaker, to congratulate him on the GOP taking back the House majority.

Albeit, this comes after Biden joined other Democrats in sounding the alarm about Republicans securing any control in Congress.
The president also lashed out against “MAGA Republicans” on several occasions. As many Americans are aware, McCarthy has been a staunch ally to former President Trump.
At this rate, it remains to be seen how the White House contends with losing economic aides, along with the ability to get bills passed on party vote alone.
