Putin’s Propagandists Begin to Admit Russia’s Getting Defeated

In an unbelievable development, some of the top propagandists of Russia are starting to concede the Russian military is getting either defeated or severely held back in its bloody, botched war to conquer Ukraine.

Russia’s ‘Shameful’ Failures All over the Map

The media figures, including Vladimir Solovyov, one of the two top propaganda officials of the Putin regime, alongside Dmitry Kiselyov, have started to criticize the overt failure of the Russian military to crush the Ukrainians.

Russians remained completely unable to drive out the Ukrainians from the districts of Donetsk and Luhansk in the southeast, or the Kherson district in the south.

While Russia has been in control of Donetsk and Luhansk, the city of Kherson in the south, with a population of about 300,000, is the only major Ukrainian city the invaders managed to capture this year.

That happened only because the Ukrainian government failed to secure it in time.

Considering how all media in Russia are now controlled by the Putin regime, it is particularly remarkable that they started to spew open criticism of the Russian command over its failures in Ukraine.

Russia’s ‘Shamefully Indecisive’ Commanders

The barrage of comments starting to concede the failures in question come a day after May 9, or “Victory Day”, Russia’s biggest public holiday to celebrate the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War II.

The 2022 edition of the parade was not only downsized, but it also saw Putin himself seeming untypically subdued, sickly, and limping.

The most remarkable critique of the Russian military came from TV anchor Vladimir Solovyov. He complained it took a “shameful” amount of time for Russian weapon resupplies to reach the frontline in Ukraine’s Donbass.

At the same time, some of his guests deplored the fact that Russian soldiers get sent to the frontline in Ukraine with “yesteryear weapons”, or even that Russia’s economy would be unable to sustain the continuing war effort.

It is being pummeled by financial and economic sanctions slapped on it by the West.

Seemingly outraged that Russia is failing miserably against the Ukrainian military, Solovyov himself lamented that his country is producing very few drones.

He even used a bitter metaphor, saying it would be easier to send the drones through the customs in Western Ukraine.

In the meantime, another of Putin’s top propagandists, Aleksandr Sladkov, who’s been posing as a war correspondent, making up lies about the situation on the front in Ukraine, also began admitting Russia’s failures.

He declared the Russians can’t even “push out the Ukrainian forces” from Donbass.

Sladkov even described the Russian commanders as “shamefully indecisive” and argued much of the problem is Russians have no numerical advantage in Donbass. They have been fighting “one-to-one” against the Ukrainian defenders.

As per the latest estimate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, as of Tuesday morning, more than 26,000 Russian troops have been killed. Some 6,500 Russian units of military equipment have been destroyed.
