Months ago, Andrew Cuomo stepped down as the governor of New York after facing multiple accusations of sexual abuse and harassment from various women. Before Cuomo’s resignation, he denied these allegations.
Chris Cuomo, the brother of the now-former New York governor, previously admitted to advising the older Cuomo, amid sexual assault allegations against him. However, as it turns out, there was more to the story of what Chris Cuomo did.
It has since come to light that the younger Cuomo used his CNN media connections in order to dig into the histories of women accusing his brother of sexual misconduct. On Tuesday, CNN responded to this development by announcing Chris Cuomo’s termination from their network, as Breitbart News reports.
The Downfall of Chris Cuomo
The office of the New York attorney general revealed various documents, showing the now-former CNN anchor’s decision to use media connections as a tool of probing the women who brought sexual harassment claims against his brother.
After the release of this information on Monday, CNN put out a statement of their own on Tuesday.

The statement reads while Chris Cuomo breached company rules by even offering advice to his brother amid the sex scandal, CNN wasn’t aware of Cuomo using his media ties to dig into the accusers.
Therefore, CNN stated in light of this new information, Cuomo’s suspension is indefinite as the company conducts more reviews into the matter. News of Cuomo’s firing from CNN made national headlines and wasn’t something many Americans saw coming.
More Bad News for the Cuomo Family
There is a real possibility that Andrew Cuomo could be looking at legal apprehension very soon. Despite his decision to resign as governor months ago, he is far from out of the woods.
The investigation from the New York attorney general has shown the former New York governor engaged in a variety of sex crimes that carry jail time sentences, if he is convicted. Weeks ago, reports indicated the older Cuomo brother should prepare himself for arrest.

With Chris Cuomo out at CNN, it’s only a matter of time to see who will replace him. It will also be interesting to observe whether or not additional information from the New York attorney general’s office implicates either Cuomo brother.
Americans should keep their eyes peeled for any CNN updates that may reveal additional news about the extent of Chris Cuomo’s involvement. However, Americans shouldn’t expect Cuomo’s primetime TV show to make a comeback anytime soon.
